Enrichment Fall 2025

Art classes draw inspiration from God’s Word, historical and contemporary artists, as well as foundational principles of art. Lessons include drawing, painting and mixed media. Students are encouraged to draw step-by-step to help them understand shapes, art elements, a variety of techniques and execute good craftsmanship. The goal for each class is to facilitate a studio environment that encourages a relaxed and calm atmosphere where skill development and individual creativity is celebrated and where students build one another up as they see artistic expression in their peers.

In our music classes, we survey a variety of musical principles, including instrument introduction, choir singing, music history, and memorization of hymns. Our emphasis will be on developing the underlying foundation of seeing ourselves as musical people, and parents will be provided with ideas to continue weaving music through the week at home as well.

The goal of our P.E. class is to develop healthy children in mind, body, and spirit through quality sports skills instruction focused on sportsmanship, character building, role modeling in excellence, and training for fit, healthy bodies—all in a fun and safe environment.

Much of our time in P.E. is spent in high energy games that involve teamwork and creative thinking.

Our Science lab will allow the students to be young scientists. They perform experiments, do hands-on projects, and practice making predictions and hypotheses. Students are taught from the foundation that God is the creator of the universe and are encouraged to marvel at His design!

Foreign Language taught with the goal of becoming confident and competent communicators, that students may develop skills that will expand the horizons in sharing their faith, building relationships, serving in the church, and thriving in the workplace. The Foreign Language currently offered by SCA Enrichment is American Sign Language.

Every 6-8 weeks, students are exposed to a new area of study with the help of parent volunteers. This could include topics like outdoor/survival skills,  cooking/baking, chess, inventions, geography, calligraphy, changing every year! Our recent unit studies have been an animal habitat study, handicraft, homemade goods, dinosaurs, and dance.
